let there be toasts

from left to right: apple butter / 3 framboises

Someone got alerted by the aroma of toasts and jam.

attempt 1: slowly approaching the toast.

Freddie: Argh why do you always seduce me with your food and you never let me have any? WHY???!!!

Still longing for a bite.

Awaiting his second attempt.

He’s definitely a jumper. He probably thought that he would succeed in getting at least a bit of jam on his nose or something….

One cannot live without apple butter and 3 raspberries jam. I bought the apple butter from Le Cochon Dingue in Quebec City and 3 Frambroise in Montreal. 3 Frambroises is made in house by Olive & Gourmando and it’s made with 3 different types of raspberries: amber, red and black.
They are the best choice for a refreshing breakfast / afternoon tea.

Got this pretty plate during Reading Week in Toronto

Freddie saying hi (he was actually in a funny position cleaning himself…)

haha yes i used to shop there before it became too inconvenient =\

grocery store here sucks, i’ll probably have to find a boutique =(

      well this is interesting:

      Crock pot apple butter
      7 cups natural applesauce
      2 cups apple cider
      1½ cups honey
      1 tsp ground cinnamon
      ½ tsp ground allspice
      ¼ tsp ground cloves
Mix all ingredients and cook on low for approximately 15 hours, or until mixture is a deep brown color.

      MUST TRY.
