a summery day at vieux port

School is not starting until next Wednesday, so most of my days I’m just:

1. chilling with friends
2. exploring more of Montreal
3. eating ice cream whenever I crave for it (which means almost every. single. day)
4. reading (currently reading – the shadows of the wind)
5. meeting new friends every weekend, since everyone is visiting Montreal during the best time of the year

picture diary time for a nice afternoon out at the vieux port (old port)

Since Old Port is just right next to Chinatown, we killed time walking around Old Port, chit chatting, exchanging silly jokes and unspoken secrets (Dylan, just don’t tell us “I have a secret” and won’t elaborate more on the subject. I swear Phil will insist until the end next time!).

Terence trying to look cool

Dylan being given a hard time after he told us that he had a secret and then he wouldn’t tell us what it was.

Hope you had an awesome summer in Montreal Minh Chau, the best bartender ever ;)

Cookies are for the Cookie Monster.

“I’m not going to eat anything anymore. Like, no ice cream. Even though there are so many ice cream stores in the Old Port, I’m so going to resist them. AND food.”

– 10 minutes later –

“Hey Ashley there’s a really good cookie store there!”

*me rushing to the van and checking out the cookies list*

“Okay guys let’s buy some cookies and share.”
“So what happened to no food?”
“…….. Just pretend I never said it, okay?”

I don’t know if I’m still having jetlag or not … but the only thing I know is that I can’t fall asleep until I roll on my bed for the millionth time. However, based on how I eat everyday which include lunch, vita soy, ice cream,  dinner and more ice cream, my appetite is definitely back (I tend not to eat as much when I’m battling with jetlag). I hate these almost-sleepless nights, when I found myself looking at the ceiling miserably every night and pleading in the darkness, that sleep would blanket over me next second.

And when my wish did not come true, I whispered in the dark:

“What did you do to me?”

Caramel cookies FTW. These cookies are incredibly sweet but they did a good job for comforting my forever-hungry tummy.

p.s Most of the photos are taken by my friend Phil! :)
