valentines: a gift guide.

As Valentine’s Day is just tiptoeing at the corner, I thought it would be great to craft up a gift guide for all the foodies out there! I came across with Eat Boutique 2 years ago and I had always wanted to order some of their yummy handcrafted food. I finally got to order two of their gift boxes recently (it’s my first time buying their tasting boxes, student budget is a bitch) and I can’t wait to share my excitement with you guys (my eyes tend to ‘sparkle’ whenever I see good foodie stuff)!!!!! Eat Boutique is an online magazine and market that gather some of the best boutique food makers in the States and it offers a range of seasonal tasting boxes and gift boxes with small batch food. For Valentine’s Day this year, they are selling Valentine’s Sweet Gift Box for US $50 each. The box comes with 5 food items made in small batches by different food boutiques: Whimsy & Spice Rose & Black pepper thumbprints, Sweet Lydia’s Homemade Honeycomb (its picture isn’t shown on the website) , Sqirl Wild Blackberry and Meyer Lemon Preserves, Rare Bird Passion Fruit Curd and Big Picture Farm Goat Milk Caramels.

The Valentine’s Sweet Gift Box will be packed similar to this gift set. The one shown in the photograph is the Apero Gift Box, you can find this and all the other gift boxes here. If the food items in the Valentine’s Sweet Gift doesn’t really catered to your taste, there are also other tasting boxes such as Coffee Gift Box and Cocktail Gift Box for the coffee and drinks lovers. I ordered Apero Gift Box and New England Gift Box and I can’t wait for their arrival! Shipping is quite expensive though, it costs US $40 per box and I didn’t realize that until they sent me an email that I need to pay another extra $40 for my second gift box. So that’s quite a bummer. Anyway, I’ll write a review on the gift boxes once they arrive and stay tuned for more Valentine’s Day Gift Guide posts this coming week!
