sunday breakfast.

I have to admit, I have a really bad habit of skipping breakfast when I live in Montreal. Now that I’m back to Hong Kong for summer, my mum is making sure that I get all the energy I need to start off the day. The french toast is topped with fried pumpkin slices and tied with ribbons of golden syrup. Mama Yue cut the pumpkin into thin slices, sprinkled them with sugar and fried them to crisp. I love how she makes every breakfast so special and she puts her heart into every meal. I can’t wait for more of her homemade food! This summer might be long (4 months of not being away from my Siamese kitty, Freddie + internship ), but my mum’s cooking definitely makes up for it.

And now you know where I got my foodie genes from ;)
