Little Getaway.

I just had a little getaway to Toronto last weekend and I spent most of the time going on food hunts! Here’s a preview of all the places I went to over the weekend :)
from left to right

1. Arrived at Toronto at 6:20 am. I felt like my neck was going to snap after a 6 hours bus ride.
2. Dim sum at Fancy Chinese Restaurant at Markham. I hadn’t had dim sum since I left Hong Kong and this was such a satiating meal. I’m having dim sum withdrawl now…
3. A cute Japanese crepe place called Millie Creperie at Kensington market. I had a Japanese Special (strawberry, azuki, green tea gelato, matcha sauce, whipped cream). It was so good!
4-5. I thought I was in a foodie paradise when I stepped into Good Egg. They have so many recipe books, food magazines and foodie-related products here. This is like a heaven for me.
6. Coffee date at Dark Horse Espresso Bar on Spadina. Hands down the best London Fog I’ve had in Canada.
7. Bier Markt has over 150 types of beer and I tried strawberry wheat ale, swedish style mojito (made with apple cider) and blackthorn cider from England.
8. Lunch with my sis/ex-roomie Iris at Bah Mi Boys. The kimchi pulled pork fries are MUST. TRY.
9. Me-time/Study sesh at Dark Horse. I’m addicted to this place.
10. Another coffee date at Fahrenheit. Wild blueberries scone (who doesn’t love scone?), cortado and flat white. I finally found my cup of flat white. It was perfect.
11. What to do when you’re waiting for your friend for an hour? Flirt with Little Death (house apricot brandy with lemon) and read Pride & Prejudice on your Kindle Paperwhite at The Cocktail Bar. Trust me, it makes waiting so much easier.
12. Dinner at The Black Hoof reminds me of the French bistros in Montreal. I had so much fun scraping off bits of foie gras/pork liver parfait and cherry sauce with crunchy toasts.
